A stranGer

Cast the calming apple
Up and over satellites
To draw out the timid wild one
To convince you it's all right
And I listen for the whisper
Of your sweet insanity
While I formulate denials
Of your effect on me
You're a stranger
So what do I care?
You vanish today
Not the first time
I hearAll the lies
What am I to do with all this silence?

Shy away, shy away phantom
Run away, terrified child
Won't you move away
frekin' tornado
I'm better off without you
Tearin' my will down

Chronicles oF DEUtscheland!

the flying horse...

the memorial for those who died during the holocaust... the remians of a church...

one foot on the east n d oder on the west of germany:)

So this summer i went to Europe, though i spent most of my time at switz,i went to Germany for a couple of days. The Architecture of the place is truly amazing..paintings on the walls of buildings..each picture depicting a different story. The flying horses with the presence of which one could identify a theater or a opera house. The semi damaged cathedrals with blackened walls which was kind of a constant reminder of the whole bombing that took place here.Another interesting thing i witnessed there were te kinda of structures...modern ,high rise buildings on one side of the street while the other side had ancient houses.

Honestly even though Germany was truly a beautiful place,i was a little freaked.Especialy since my sis and I had the Holocaust in mind.We saw the MEmorial of those who died in the holocaust..there were a thousand concrete structures!and yet they perhaps constituted 1/4th of the number of people who died.

The only positive thing that i got to see which diverted my mind from being depressed was the Berlin Wall.An amazing sight..the remenants which tell you that how we(the people) can change everything. The Unification of East and West Germany is an example of such.!iT happened just 20yrs ago,we spoke to some german people and they told us about how they actively participated inthe breaking of the wall and how they still had pieces of it as a reminder.Checkpoint Charlie...the very place where the mass revolted, broke down the wall which actually mocks the sillyness of two former superpowers(one of which still claims to be a superpower). The only thing that really annoyed me were the Gimmicks..people actually clicked pictures with two people posed as the generals of the respective parties ,atleast I felt as though they were making fun of the whole incident that happened.Think about the people who couldnt meet their relatives who just lived across the street coz it was divided, the struggle people had to go through, the extent to which they were provoked ..
,And the costumes do nothing but bring up the painful memories of seperation....

Neil gaiman QUotes!

I am planning to read this graphic novel by neil gaimen called sandman.i read some of the extracts from the book..and well i must say they were simply brilliant!really interesting stuff!!here are some excerpts from the book:

I doubt I'm any wiser than I was five hundred years back. I'm older. I've been up, and been down, and been up again. Have I learned aught? I've learned from my mistakes, but I've had more time to commit more mistakes.

Hob Gadling, in SANDMAN #13: "Men of Good Fortune"

"If I hear another of your theological paradoxes, I'll scream. Frankly, today I don't care if God exists or not."

"I doubt He feels likewise, Miss Walker."

Rose Walker and Gilbert, in SANDMAN #14: "Collectors"

Desire, listen to me carefully. Remember this. We of the endless are the servants of the living -- we are not their masters. We exist because they know, deep in their hearts, that we exist.

Dream, in SANDMAN #16: "Lost Hearts"

Never trust a demon. He has a hundred motives for anything he does... Ninety-nine of them, at least, are malevolent.

Dream, in SANDMAN #4: "A Hope in Hell"

"I am anti-life, the beast of judgement. I am the dark at the end of everything. The end of universes, gods, worlds … of everything. And what will you be then, Dreamlord?"

"I am hope."

    • Choronzon and Dream, playing the oldest game, in Sandman #4: "A Hope in Hell"

"You say that I have no power? Perhaps you speak truly. But – you say that dreams have no power? Ask yourselves, all of you, what power would hell have if those imprisoned here could not dream of heaven?"

  • Lucifer and Dream, in Sandman #4: "A Hope in Hell"

I find myself wondering about humanity. Their attitude to my sister's gift is so strange. Why do they fear the sunless lands? It is as natural to die as it is to be born. But they fear her. Dread her. Feebly they attempt to placate her. They do not love her.
  • Dream about Death, in Sandman #8: "The Sound of Her Wings"

And when it rains.....

No amount of Images.

Words.

Can substitute the feeling and the memories....

There are so many things in life we take for granted....we don't acknowledge its existence until one fine day everything dissapears.Thats when you begin to miss it.

Take for instance the Bombay rains ..i hate rainy days and all the dampness and the gloomy atmosphere that comes wid it but due to the absence of it for months i began to miss it and i am overjoyed now that they're here!yes, bombay rains are back...:) and i am loving it!
