This is a poem i wrote a loong time back..probably in the 11th grade...i couldnt really think of an apt title to it
She waits silently,she prays
She prays for all her pains to go away..
Her thoughts encroach upon her
Her mind is entrapped with boundless fears
She shuts her eyes,she looks for clear skies
But is blinded by the fog that overshadows the light
She gets lost in the ashes of time
The good and the bad memories flash across her mind..
While she tries to captivate the good ones...she makes an attempt to escape from the others
She tries to cry out loudly,for agonising memories have been stalking her for a while
She could evade the situation but that would only lead to self-denial
All her cries seem to get lost unheard
All her tears seem pointless and even more...they hurt
Perhaps she's waiting for something to happen..or someone
Perhaps she's trying to analyse instead of going for a run
Perhaps she's a fallen angel,bruised and hurt
Perhaps anguish is the only way she can express herself..for the rest are burnt...
She needs someone to come and take her broken wings
She needs to learn how to pull herself together,fly and be daring
Suddenly she questions herself"Do I deserve to go through all this pain??"
Do I have a reason or is it just in vain?!"
She probably herself had the answers to her questions
For she now looks up at the bright moon which assures her of a new day
A day when the sun will dry up all her tears
And melt the temporarily frozen fears...
Till then she waits patiently in the shadow cast by the moonlight
She sits still...as she seeks for new light~
